Mark Little Elk

Mark graduated from Oak Hills Christian College in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Theology. He is a dedicated Christian and uses his platform as a pastor to spread his teachings to others. The teachings and scriptures of the Hebrew Bible have helped him overcome alcoholism, drug addictions, suicidal ideation, and other threats to his wellbeing. Mark had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and that only deepened is belief in his purpose for living. While studying abroad, he told his story to classmates through different forms of artwork, like Lakota beadwork, and he saw how impactful his story could be on others. It is difficult for him at times being Lakota and a Christian. American society can be ostracizing and blatantly demeaning and racist, but he has a higher calling as a Christian and endures through prayer. Mark is a living inspiration for every soul that is fortunate enough to be touched by him.
