J’Angela Riley

J’Angela is a currently a sophomore. She plans to use her education to connect family, friends and her Sicangu Oyate to resources they need for a better quality of life. J’Angela is one of the most selfless people you will meet because she has used challenges in life to better shape her personality and perspective, rather than letting them bog her down. Her attitude is consistently positive and uplifting. Despite attending 3 different schools for 4 years of high school, she graduated with honors in the end, and she is proud of that because she showed her younger family members what perseverance looks like. Her family is so loving and supportive, and she credits them for pushing her to be her best. She also credits Sarah Hart, her friend’s mom and prominent Sicangu Co. Director. Sarah has shown her how it is possible to do everything and acquire whatever you want on your own. J’Angela is inspired to have the same impact on community as Sarah has.
